The Church World Service Forum on Domestic Disaster Ministry offers the only venue for reflection and conversation to spur creative thinking
and development of new approaches for the faith community’s work in disasters. Every two-years, the Fourm brings
together experienced disaster professionals and volunteers from across the spectrum of the religious community nationally
to gain new insights into disaster ministry. Creative thinking and new approaches, of course, can occur
without a formal and agreed-upon setting for reviewing work, reflecting on it critically, and building on it. But
ultimately this is to the detriment of disaster survivors and their communities.
